Position summary: Responsible for preparing plans from the provided engineering sketches and details for projects.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Develop engineering sketches and details utilizing MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) softwares
• Makes basic engineering computations and prepares and revises specifications.
• Make quality control corrections to construction drawings
• Prepare exhibits for reports, public meetings, and/or presentations

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in computer aided drawing software(s)
• Knowledge of design and drafting procedures

Preferred Experience

• Technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
