Operations Research Analyst
The Licensed Vocational Nurse Preop/PACU is qualified to perform patient care in the Pre-operative period and the Post-anesthesia recovery period. Administers direct and indirect care to per-operative and/or post-operative patients based on standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures set for the facility. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia personnel continuously and as needed about patient conditions. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care.
Required Skills
• Graduate of an accredited LVN/LPN program. • BLS certification required. ACLS preferred. • IV Certification required. Good IV skills are highly desired. • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit. • Strong communication skills, verbal and written. • Ability to recognize, evaluates, solve problems and correct errors. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, clinical staff, physicians, vendors and the public. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change. • Excellent communication skills • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of surgical patient • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
Required Experience
At least 2 years of experience as a LVN in a surgery center preferred.
