JOB SUMMARY

This position is a sales and service position offering and administering a full line of banking services and financial products to consumer and commercial customers in a personable and professional manner.

Through careful placement of customers into the proper products and services, this position helps Community Development Bank achieve budgetary goals through income from account balances and from fee income. Bankers will provide excellent customer service while meeting deposit growth goals and producing fee income.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Understand and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements associated with this position.

2. Offer excellent service to consumer and commercial customers while following all bank and regulatory policies and procedures.

3. Open new accounts; identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services;

4. Assist in electronic banking services for consumer and commercial customers.

5. Originate and underwrite home equity loans, home equity lines of credit, consumer installment loans and consumer lines of credit.

6. Identify other borrowing needs of customer and refer to appropriate department.

7. Assist with routine service requests; order checks; stop payments; process wire transfers; responsible for safe deposit box inventory and regulatory requirements surrounding safe deposit box department. This position also includes answering phones, greeting customers and assist in maintaining the lobby appearance.

8. Promote Community Development Bank’s products and services within the community when the opportunity arises. Help coordinate promotional or outside events to promote and maintain a favorable image of the bank.

9. Full function in the teller line to include the accurate processing of deposits, cashing checks, issuing cash, preparing cashier’s checks, processing loan payments, and redeeming savings bonds. Applicant must accurately maintain cash balances in the teller drawer, vault and coin machines within established limits. Duties also include the review and processing of mobile and remote deposits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Two years of personal banking experience is preferred.

2. Working knowledge of banking procedures, products and services. Proper approval must be obtained on all decisions outside bank policies and procedures.

3. Thorough knowledge of IRA retirement plans.

4. Knowledgeable of and follow all bank and regulatory policies and procedures.

5. Proficient in Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook.

LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS:

1. Must have and maintain a Mortgage Lender Origination Number with the National Mortgage Licensing System.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Consumer lending experience and have a working knowledge of lending compliance

2. Strong sales and service skills.

3. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to guide customers into appropriate products.

4. This position requires that you have critical and cognitive skills and the ability to multitask.
