Registered Behavior Technician: Clinic Based – Kirkland, WA
Connections Behavior is in search of full-time (32+ hrs/wk) behavior therapists to work with children and adolescents in clinic-based settings throughout King County, WA. Connections contracts with several school districts to provide 1:1 support to children and adolescents with emotion behavior disorders, autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors. NO weekend work is required. This is an entry level position where you will receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). RBT’s are responsible for going to the student’s school to deliver 1:1 instruction and support by following behavior plans created by a BCBA. Behavior plans may include procedures on how to arrange the environment to prevent challenging behaviors, instructions for how to teach the student to communicate needs more appropriately, and procedures for how to respond to unsafe behaviors. All behavior plans are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We provide comprehensive initial and ongoing training, and you will be provided with multiple weekly opportunities to collaborate with an experienced BCBA.
Job Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or emotional behavior disorders
Maintain a safe environment for all students and staff members
Follow behavior plans and acquisition plans created by a BCBA
Take data on all target behaviors
Attend team meetings
Debrief with teachers daily
Write daily session notes
Collaborate with BCBA during observations

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred if in psychology, social work, education, or related field
Experience working with children and/or people with disabilities
Strong desire to work with students with special needs
A strong desire to work in a dynamic team and advance their knowledge and skills in Applied Behavior Analysis
