Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support our team and contribute to the efficient flow of the daily operations of our resort. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for dogs, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Reports to: General Manager

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of dog care specialists, ensuring they provide the highest level of care to our guests.

Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of daily operations: participating in regular facility sanitization and cleaning, kennel and daycare duties (animal care; feedings, medications etc.), check-in/out procedures, scheduling, facility maintenance.

Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service at all times, addressing any concerns or inquiries from pet owners promptly and professionally.

Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and clean environment for dogs and staff, adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols.

Staff Training: Assists GM with all new hires

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a management role, preferably within the pet care industry.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Passion for dogs and a genuine commitment to their well-being.

Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with customers.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pet care.

Required:

-Some weekend availability.

-Reliable transportation.

-Physically able to perform all duties associated with the Kennel Technician Position, which includes:

able to work on their feet for lengthy periods of time

physically able to lift, hold or restrain animals of all sizes and temperaments

self-motivated and works well independently as well as on a team
