  • Responsibilities

    This position will operate and control excavating and loading machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, and hydraulic shovels. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others. Excavate and remove soil, rocks, and debris from construction sites or mining areas as per project requirements.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Valid Class A or B CDL driver's license, Class A preferred
    • Ability to operate truck with a manual transmission
    • At least 21 years of age
    • Minimum of 2 years CDL truck driving experience
    • Previous experience operating a service rig
    • Must be physically fit and able to climb and work at heights
    • Ability to work outside in all types of weather
    • Ability to lift in excess of 75lbs
    • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle records check
    • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction.
    • Operate heavy equipment to assist in the maintenance and repair of roadways.
    • Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.
    • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
    • Operate company vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements, all local, state and federal laws and Kimble policies.
    • Perform pre-and post-trip inspection of the vehicle, and document/report any mechanical or safety issues to supervisors.
    • Safely maneuver vehicle in residential and commercial environments and navigate high traffic areas.
    • Immediately notifies Supervisor of accidents, injuries, or property damage
    • Maintains and updates route sheets and driver logs
    • Attend scheduled safety meetings, information sessions, and trainings.
