Job Description

We're hiring a CEI Project Engineer / Project Administrator to support various transportation design-build projects throughout the ****Tallahassee and Florida panhandle area

This role is a hybrid assignment working from project sites, remotely, and occasionally at the AECOM office in Tallahassee

To qualify as a CEI Project Engineer, candidates must have a Professional Engineer (PE) license registered in the State of Florida or must obtain an endorsement in the State of Florida within six (6) months of Project NTP if registered in another state

• Receiving general instructions regarding assignments and exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems related to transportation engineering and construction projects
• Directing and assigning specific tasks to administrative and field staff and assisting in all phases of the construction project
• Progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration
• Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Responsible for: Receiving general instructions regarding assignments and exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems
• Responsible for: Directing and assigning specific tasks to administrative and field staff and assisting in all phases of the construction project.
• Responsible for: Progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration
• Under limited supervision, conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria
• Is fully competent in most aspects of the job
• Works on projects of substantial complexity
• May assume lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support personnel

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education

• Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
  Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

• Due to the nature of the projects associated with this position a valid US citizenship is required

• FDOT Advanced MOT
• CTQP Final Estimates Level II
• CTQP Quality Control Manager
