    As CFO, you’ll be a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, shaping the financial future of an organization committed to advancing its mission. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented finance team and drive transformative financial strategies, ensuring the organization’s long-term sustainability and growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, grants management, risk assessment, and treasury operations.
    • Develop and implement financial policies, planning frameworks, and reporting systems that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead key accounting activities such as ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, revenue tracking, and financial reporting.
    • Utilize advanced financial modeling to analyze trends, provide actionable insights, and support strategic initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission.
    • Evaluate and enhance accounting processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and laws.
    • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard the organization's financial health and integrity.
    • Coordinate audits, monitor financial conditions, and provide necessary information to external auditors, ensuring transparency and confidentiality.
    • Assess the organization’s financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Collaborate with program and development teams on grant reporting and compliance, ensuring proper allocation and tracking of funds.
    • Lead and develop the finance team, collaborating closely with HR on payroll, benefits, training, coaching, and performance management.

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within the non-profit sector or organizations of similar complexity.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred); CPA or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
    • Extensive knowledge of non-profit accounting, grant compliance, and financial management principles.
    • Proven ability to lead financial operations for organizations with budgets ranging from $20M to $50M.
    • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills with a collaborative and transparent management style.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial management software; experience with [specific software, if applicable, e.g., QuickBooks Non-Profit Edition] is a plus.
    • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
    • High emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, agility, and partnership.

    $200,000 per year
