As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team and lead our financial operations.

    Job Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of our Gallery. The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure the gallery’s financial stability and growth, and support the organization's mission and goals. The role can be based in either New York City, NY or Beverly Hills, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and strategic planning, with experience in the luxury space and a passion for the arts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Strategy & Planning:
      • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the gallery’s mission, objectives, and growth.
      • Collaborate with the executive team to create long-term financial plans and budgets.
      • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
    2. Financial Management:
      • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
      • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
      • Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk to ensure the gallery’s financial health.
    3. Compliance & Governance:
      • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards.
      • Oversee audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
      • Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets.
    4. Fundraising & Revenue Generation:
      • Support fundraising efforts and grant applications by providing financial insights and projections.
      • Develop strategies for revenue generation, including partnerships, sponsorships, and other income streams.
      • Monitor and report on financial performance related to fundraising and revenue activities.
    5. Team Leadership:
      • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
      • Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance management of finance staff.
      • Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters.
    6. Financial Systems & Processes:
      • Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Implement and maintain financial software and tools to streamline operations and reporting.
      • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
    • Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or similar role, preferably in the arts, luxury space. Prior Gallery experience not required.
    • Experience with tax laws, shipping regulations, and handling consignments, international tax, and imports.
    • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting the gallery’s mission and values.
