CHASE STAFFING is currently seeking a PAYROLL SPECIALIST in SANDY SPRINGS, GA. The Payroll Specialist position includes all aspects of extremely detailed payroll practices that must be maintained in the Staffing Industry. We are looking for a motivated self-starter to join our team. This person must be able to think independently, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, have auditing skills & be customer service oriented. This person will handle a weekly multi-state payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Assist each branch location with all payroll-related issues

·         Audit & process high volume batches of employee timecards with efficiency

·         Capture & import employee time from web-based tracking service

·         Correct payroll errors and exceptions to ensure proper payment.

·         Process pay adjustments including refunds, overrides and additional deductions

·         Calculate and print regular, instant pay and garnishment check runs

·         Process voids, reissues and reversals

·         Print and mail paychecks and advices

·         Research and resolve payroll and billing issues

·         Process bank transactions including ACH, positive pay, pre-note, direct deposit reversals, stop payments and check inquiries

·         Enter new bank accounts, terminations and pay card information

·         Generate weekly client invoices and invoice corrections as needed

·         Process and post weekly credit card, adjustments and write-off batches

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Prefer 2 years experience processing payroll

·         Accounting & Finance courses and /or  degree 

·         Analytical problem-solver and detail oriented; great organizational and time management skills

·         Willingness to work as part of a team and ability to work independently

·         Normal hours 8 am - 5 pm but must be available occasionally to work past normal business hours.
