Purpose:
As the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will be responsible for overseeing the company's information technology strategy and execution, ensuring that the digital infrastructure aligns with the company’s business objectives. You will lead a cross-functional technology team, drive innovation, optimize digital platforms, and ensure a secure, scalable, and efficient technology ecosystem. You will also be responsible for identifying emerging technologies, driving data-driven decision-making, and managing IT systems that support our auction platform and enhance user experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the overall IT strategy aligned with business goals.
Identify and leverage technology trends and innovations that can drive business growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Work closely with the CEO, leadership, and other departments to define technology priorities and investments.
Oversee the technical operations of the online auction platform, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Enhance the user experience by managing platform development, user interface (UI), and user experience (UX) optimization.
Ensure continuous integration and delivery of updates, features, and enhancements to the platform.
Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Provide clear direction and set expectations for project timelines, quality assurance, and results.
Work Requirements, Experience, Education, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in technical drafting, design engineering, or CAD work specifically focused on fabrication.
Experience within the custom fabrication industry, museum exhibits, themed environments, or theatrical set design is highly desirable.
A strong portfolio demonstrating a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and tangible experience with real-world fabrication projects.
Top Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in senior IT leadership roles, with a strong background in managing large-scale, high-performance digital platforms.
Proven experience in a digital marketplace, auction industry, or eCommerce-related technology is highly preferred.
Deep expertise in cloud computing, software development, database management, and cybersecurity.
Strong track record of driving innovation, digital transformation, and platform optimization.
