    About the Lawyer Position

Consumer Legal Group is a law firm primarily handling consumer rights, debt settlement, litigation defending creditors' unsecured consumer debt and consumer advocacy on challenging erroneous information on consumer's credit reports.

You will be handling a caseload of files and your work is expected to include communicating with clients, communicating with opposing counsel, engaging the court as needed, working with local counsel, and monitoring files - some of which have escalated to litigation and some which we try and settle, negotiating settlements, drafting legal documents as necessary, and advising clients. You will also be overseeing and part of a team of attorneys who oversee a team of paralegals.

This is an in-house position and you need to be familiar (to the extent not already) with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and related and relevant other statutes (FCRA, CROA, etc.).
