HCT is seeking an Interim Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) for a 70-bed hospital in Arizona. The CMIO will be responsible for driving the adoption and optimization of electronic health records, clinical decision support systems, and other health IT initiatives to improve patient care, safety, and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Education: Medical degree required (MD or DO);  Board certification in a medical specialty (e.g. internal medicine, family medicine) preferred
• License: Current licensure to practice medicine
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in clinical medicine, with a strong background in healthcare IT and informatics; Experience with clinical decision support systems and electronic health records (EHRs)
• Certifications: Certification in healthcare IT (e.g. CPHIMS, CPHI)
• Computer/Skills: EMR – Allscripts/Altera and Microsoft Office Suite; must be computer savvy; excellent leadership and communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to navigate complex healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements
