    Position Overview:

    We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Operator and Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PC-DMIS software and a strong background in precision inspection within the aerospace industry. This role is critical in ensuring product quality and dimensional accuracy through both operation and programming of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate CMMs to perform dimensional inspections on aerospace components and assemblies.

    • Program and edit CMM routines using PC-DMIS to support production and quality assurance needs.

    • Analyze inspection results and document findings in accordance with company and industry standards.

    • Make improvements to existing CMM programs to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    • Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve dimensional discrepancies.

    • Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections as needed.

    • Maintain accurate and organized records of inspection data and reports.

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality and manufacturing processes.

    • Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience operating and programming CMMs in a manufacturing environment.

    • Proficiency with PC-DMIS software is required.

    • Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.

    • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

    • Solid computer skills and familiarity with quality documentation systems.

    • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to quality.

    • Flexibility to work either first or second shift as required.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems.

    • Familiarity with other metrology tools and software is a plus.

    $25 - $32 / hr
