    Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant Location: Oakland, CA Facility: Sutter Health Shift: Day (5x8 Hours) 10:00 18:30 Pay range: $20/hr - $25/hr

    Required: CA CNA License BLS

    Provides and assist in a quality patient care in the OP under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Management reserves the right to revise the job description or require that other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change (for example, emergencies, staff changes, workload, or technical development).JOB ACCOUNTABILITIESProvides appropriate direct patient care to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurse. Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service. Prepares the equipment for following cases in each operating room: removes existing instrumentation and/or bed, reconfigures the OR room for the next case, cleans and maintains cleanliness of mobile equipment, connects and sets up for appropriate equipment, organizates all case supplies in the OR room, assists the nursing personnel with preparing the patients for surgery (ie, positioning, retrieving non-sterile supplies, etc.) Transports patient to the OR from the floor, OPS and all other patient care areas. Transports patients from PACU to all other patient care areas postoperatively. Transports specimens from OR to appropriate departments (ie. Laboratory, Mammo, etc.) Demonstrate sensitivity to patients’ comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress. Maintains a sufficient level of patient related supplies, stocks warmers with blankets, solution, both in the OR and PACU, prepares bed linens rolls, prepares nursing form packets, ensures that sufficient amount of cotton, razors, rest-on, measuring tape, methylene blue, petri dishes, combs, are in stock. Cuts up foams for positioning or ensures that sufficient supplies for patient care are in stock. Participate in an educational program and in service meetings.
