    Full-Time Position

    Job Overview: Regency Park of Carroll is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide daily assistance and personal care to residents.     Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Resident Care: Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
    • Monitoring Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
    • Mobility Assistance: Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure their safety.
    • Personal Care: Provide hygiene care and assist with skin care, oral hygiene, and nail care as per residents’ individual needs.
    • Nutritional Support: Assist with feeding residents who need help, ensuring meals are served in a timely and pleasant manner, and documenting food intake.
    • Comfort & Emotional Support: Offer emotional support to residents, engaging in friendly conversations and providing companionship to help reduce feelings of loneliness.
    • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness of residents' rooms, including changing bed linens, tidying living spaces, and ensuring a comfortable environment.
    • Assist with Medical Care: Provide support during medical procedures, including taking specimens for lab tests and providing assistance during treatments.
    • Documentation: Record all care activities, resident progress, and any changes in condition in residents’ care records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
    • Team Collaboration: Work with the nursing team to provide consistent, high-quality care, and report any changes in the resident’s condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
    • Adhere to Safety & Infection Control Protocols: Follow all facility safety, infection control, and health regulations to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff.

    Education Requirements & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must hold a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa.
    • Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a passion for providing high-quality care to others.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents, often with assistance, up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach in order to perform various nursing tasks.
    • Ability to assist with physical transfers, including lifting and repositioning residents.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Must have the stamina to respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively.
    • Ability to work in environments that may involve exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
