Brevard Nursing Academy is searching for licensed nurses with a desire to utilize their knowledge, skills, and experience in the classroom. This role is for someone looking to leave the bedside and the hectic schedule of working in a clinical setting for a more relaxed working environment. We are a small institution that holds quality over quantity. Class size is kept to a manageable size both for your comfort and to improve teacher-student relations. This rewarding position is for a nurse who wants to share their knowledge and experience with the next generation of Nursing Assistants.
Interested persons must have a clear and active Florida Nursing license (LPN or RN).
A minimum of three years of nursing experience. Must have at least one year of experience in training or supervising nursing assistants. Skilled Nursing Facility experience is welcomed.
A Nursing Assistant Instructor would be responsible for teaching students in a classroom and clinical setting. The instructor would review plans, evaluate student performance, and provide feedback on their progress. They would also work with other faculty members to ensure that the nursing assistant program meets regulatory standards and prepares students for licensure exams. The instructor would need to have a current nursing license, as well as relevant experience and knowledge of nursing assistant theory and clinical practice. Strong communication and organizational skills are also essential for success in this role.

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 2:00pm; or 4:00pm to 10:00pm.
