    Thompson First Group is seeking a CNC Brake and Punch Press Operator for a direct hire position with a local client in Philadelphia, PA.

    Candidates that have aN experience working on and programming CNC Brake Presses, Punch Presses and Shears are encouraged to apply.

    Job Description:

    • Program, Setup & Operate Trumpf CNC Press Brake, Boschert CNC Punch & Accurshear Shear.
    • Work with prefinished and unfinished Bronze, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Steel Sheet metal and other materials.
      Working from detailed fabrication drawings, successfully produce parts per the fabrication drawings.
    • Brake: Determine and program blank sizes, bend allowances, bend sequences & tooling selection to produce brake-formed parts accurate to +- 1/16”.
    • Punch: Program and select tooling for cutouts, notches, etc. to produce parts accurate to +- 1/16”. Shear: Set up to correct parameters for various materials and produce parts accurate to +- 1/16”. Perform tooling installation and breakdown as required by program/part requirements.
    • QC/check accuracy of completed parts.
    • Handle, maintain and clean all tooling.
    • Handle all material properly and carefully so as to avoid marking, scratching, denting or otherwise damaging the tooling, raw materials and finishes.
    • Understand and perform regular checks and routine upkeep on Brake, Punch and Shear. Notify Shop Foreman immediately if equipment is not functioning to acceptable standards.
    • Work at a productive and reasonable pace.
    • Willingness and ability to perform other shop tasks when not operating Brake, Punch or Shear - including but not limited to polishing, loading, saw-cutting, etc.
    • Be attentive to safety at all times.
    • Interact productively and professionally, consult & problem solve with Shop Foreman and Engineering Personnel.
      Report to Shop Foreman

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3-plus-years of experience working on & programming CNC Press Brake, Punch & Shear.
    • Able to read and understand fabrication drawings.
    • Willingness and ability to learn and improve your knowledge and expertise about the equipment.
    • Ability and desire to problem solve and multitask.
    • Physical ability to lift and handle heavy material. Work well with others.
    • Good Communication skills.

    Shift:

    • First Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 PM
