  • Responsibilities

    Schedule: 2nd Shift (Mon–Fri, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)

    The position requires a proactive individual with extensive knowledge of CNC lathe operations and setup procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured to precise engineering specifications and that machinery is properly maintained for optimal productivity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Precision Manufacturing:
    * Interpret and execute engineering drawings and blueprints to manufacture parts with strict tolerances.
    
    * Set up CNC lathes by configuring workholding devices, tool kits, and establishing necessary tool offsets using FANUC controls.
    
    • Quality Control & Documentation:
    * Accurately check and verify product dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
    
    * Record production data and document setup changes to ensure repeatability and quality across production runs.
    
    * Perform first article inspections and subsequent buy-offs to confirm adherence to specifications.
    
    • Equipment Maintenance:
    * Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of CNC machines to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
    
    * Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments using macro programming and industry-standard software (such as Mastercam or similar).
    

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Experience:
    * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC lathe setup, preferably with Twin, Takisawa, Okuma, or Doosan equipment.
    
    * Proven experience using a pre-setter offline for tool offsets and handling quick change tooling procedures.
    
    • Technical Proficiency:
    * Strong understanding of CNC programming, including G-Code and M-Code.
    
    * Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles effectively.
    
    * Proficient in using precision measuring tools and mathematical calculations for machining setups.
    
    • Physical Requirements:
    * Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
    
    * Capable of performing detailed, repetitive tasks with consistent accuracy.

    Salary info:

    $31 - $35 / hr
