CNC Machinist - Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and on time.
- Inspect and fine-tune parts to maintain consistent quality throughout production runs.
- Program and set up machines to produce first article parts.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to maximize uptime.
- Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders) for precision machining.
- Select appropriate tools and materials for machining tasks.
- Monitor machine feed and speed, ensuring optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain production standards and ensure on-time job completion.
- Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years in CNC machining with knowledge of fabrication processes and blueprints.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong understanding of shop math, blueprint reading, and technical reports.
- Certifications: Welding certifications preferred but not required.
