CNC Machinist - Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and on time.
• Inspect and fine-tune parts to maintain consistent quality throughout production runs.
• Program and set up machines to produce first article parts.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to maximize uptime.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders) for precision machining.
• Select appropriate tools and materials for machining tasks.
• Monitor machine feed and speed, ensuring optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain accuracy.
• Maintain production standards and ensure on-time job completion.
• Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years in CNC machining with knowledge of fabrication processes and blueprints.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong understanding of shop math, blueprint reading, and technical reports.
• Certifications: Welding certifications preferred but not required.
