Seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate advanced machining equipment, including 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills, turning centers, and multi-axis machines. This full-time role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet tight tolerances, and a commitment to maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 3, 4, & 5-axis CNC mills, turning centers, and multi-axis machines
- Monitor production rates and notify supervisors of any inefficiencies
- Work with aerospace, defense, and semiconductor components, maintaining tight tolerances of +/- .0002”
- Ensure 90% efficiency during setup/operation and maintain a scrap rate below 1%
- Read and follow job routers, setup sheets, and work instructions, providing feedback for process improvements
- Conduct quality inspections using manual and mechanical methods, including CMM measurement
- Interpret blueprints, symbols, and technical drawings
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate with team leads to address issues and suggest improvements
- Identify and troubleshoot machining problems efficiently
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC 3, 4, & 5-axis mills, turning centers, and multi-axis machines
- Strong knowledge of GD &T applications and machine/controller functions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic shop math and geometrical knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate and problem-solve
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with AS9100 Standards is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs
- Exposure to cutting fluids, lubricants, metal chips, and moderate noise levels
