    Job Summary

    As a CNC Machinist , you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and conventional machines to produce high-precision metal and non-metal parts. You'll apply your expertise in machining, blueprint reading, and problem-solving to ensure high-quality production while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

    Key ResponsibilitiesMachining & Production (80%)

    • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and other machining equipment.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances.
    • Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
    • Program and adjust machine controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
    • Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
    • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) to ensure quality and accuracy.
    • Assemble machined components using jigs, fixtures, and hand tools.
    • Maintain proper documentation of production processes, nonconformities, and machine maintenance.

    Quality & Safety (20%)

    • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
    • Conduct regular inspections and adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards.
    • Report machine malfunctions, defects, or nonconformities immediately.
    • Maintain accurate production records and complete all necessary documentation.
    • Follow preventive maintenance procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications & ExperienceEducation & Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • 4+ years of experience in machining, trade school, vocational training, or apprenticeship preferred.

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
    • Proficiency in CNC programming and machine setup.
    • Experience with shop mathematics, including trigonometry.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
    • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards and safety protocols.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    • Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and reach overhead for extended periods.
    • Lift up to 50 lbs safely.
    • Exposure to noise, moving machinery, fumes, dust, and cutting fluids.
    • Ability to monitor machine sounds for troubleshooting.
    • Occasional overtime and Saturday shifts may be required based on customer demand.
