    CNC Machinist opportunity at Triad Fabricators

    Triad Fabricators, based in Evansville, Indiana, was formed by consolidating three legacy fabrication shops; Traylor Bros. (founded in 1946), Sterling Industrial (founded in 1982), and Traylor Industrial (founded in 1984).

    Our focus is fabrication, which is what we do best, but as part of the Traylor Construction Group, we have the resources to see any project through from concept to completion. With both domestic and international experience, Triad has proven ability on a global scale.

    General Position Summary

    This position is responsible for performing various machining operations. Machinist are expected to complete their tasks on time with exceptional performance. This position must be committed to maintaining a safe work environment and embrace continuous improvement as we grow.

    Although this position is primarily for day shift, applicants must have flexibility to support 2nd shift during temporary, high-volume projects.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities

    • Operate both vertical & horizontal CNC Mills and Lathes effectively.
    • Make complex setups of parts to be machined
    • Understand in utilize technical plans and fabrication drawings.

    Skills & Abilities

    • Capacity to run multiple machining centers at once
    • Have the skill to identify/troubleshoot problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
    • Understand materials, methods, and tools involved in the industry
    • General knowledge of G Code
    • Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications
    • Good attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies
    • Strong math and problem-solving skills
    • Ability and willingness to abide by our Code of Conduct
    • Function effectively as part of a team
    • Understand, comply with, and support our safety initiatives

    Education & Experience

    • 5-years’ experience required.

    Work Environment/Job Conditions

    This job is performed in the fabrication shop/field. Work requires experience and confidence working in and around heavy equipment, systems and conditions. Activities and responsibilities require sitting, frequent walking, standing, lifting, bending, and reaching. There may be repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.

    • Effective verbal and written communication and strong computer skills

    • Experience with day-to-day administrative and operational responsibilities of leading and supervising a lacrosse program, including but not limited to, implementation of running and workout programs, budget management, professional development, NCAA rules and regulations, organization skills, and supporting the educational goals and ideals of the members of the women’s lacrosse program
