Job Summary

The CNC Manager is responsible for the staffing, equipment and profitable operations of the CNC Department.

Primary Job Functions

Responsible for efficient and profitable day-to-day operations of the CNC department – including but not limited to work-flow, work assignment, capacity planning (machine and labor), inventory (raw material and supplies), problem solving

Provide orientation, training and instruction to all CNC Department personnel

Develop, implement, and monitor adherence to CNC Department operational procedures

Provide technical assistance to external and internal customers

Interface with Sales Team to provide quotes, schedules, and updates

Ensure CNC personnel follow quality and safety procedures

Ensure the CNC Department works in synergy with other internal departments to meet

Customer requirements

Monitor and evaluate industry trends. Recommend and advise management in appropriate technology applications.

Personnel management of the CNC Department

Ensure work areas are kept clean and orderly

Minimum Skills/Mandatory Skills/Experience Needed for Hire:

Experience

5+ years in CNC and Machining industry

5+ years CAD/CAM experience

Demonstrated management experience preferred

Experience with MasterCam and/or PowerMill programming software

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to problem solve

Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task

High attention to detail

MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Educational Requirement:

High School Diploma or GED and/or 5+ years industry experience
