    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator to join our injection mold manufacturing team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision components based on engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading blueprints, using measurement tools, fluent in using CAD software (Cimatron), ensuring high-quality production standards, and maintaining a high-level of communication between our engineering department and the mold-makers on the bench.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Set Up and Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines (CNC 3-axis Mills) to produce parts according to specifications.

    Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings, tooling, and other job requirements.

    CAD Capabilities: Must be able to use Cimatron software, or has sufficient experience using Solidworks. Capable of programming 2D/3D is preferred.

    Quality Control: Monitor the quality of finished parts, using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure they meet required tolerances.

    Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. Report any issues or defects to supervisors.

    Programming and Adjustments: Input machine programs or make adjustments to existing programs to improve efficiency or accommodate changes in design specifications.

    Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure proper use of protective equipment.

    Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine or part issues quickly to minimize downtime.

    Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth production workflows.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining preferred.

    Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in manufacturing.

    Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

    Knowledge of CNC machine operations, programming, and maintenance.

    Strong attention to detail and precision.

    Ability to use measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

    Basic computer skills and experience with CNC software.

    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machines and processes.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

    Comfortable standing for long periods and working with machinery in a production environment.

    Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

    Working Conditions:

    Work is typically performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery noise.

    Facility is air-conditioned.

    Shift work may be required based on production schedules.

    Some weekend OT is provided given current workload.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with a variety of CNC machines and controls.

    Knowledge of advanced CNC programming

    Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
