    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Assist in programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis simultaneous CNC milling machines, 3-axis CNC milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment involving precision tolerances, as necessary. Act as subject matter expert on all things CNC machining.,

    2. Conduct manufacturability reviews with customers to learn about the end use of the product, focusing on critical features and tolerances.

    3. Conduct special studies involving manufacturing methods, rates, and estimates for new business.

    4. Investigate various types of new machines & equipment for production.

    5. Assist in determining processing methods, tooling, and the most cost-effective operation to support the CNC department.

    6. Generate work instructions for production processes and equipment, including set-up sheets for operators; Design fixtures, jaws, work holdings, etc. using Solidworks.

    7. Recommend new standards and/or policies for continuous improvement. Proactively identify and communicate risks, propose and implement actions. Perform technical investigations, document findings, propose solutions for management decision(s), then implement actions.

    8. Assist in quality-related issues, providing technical expertise during root cause analysis, risk assessment FMEA processes, corrective actions, etc.

    9. Assist with programming CMM as necessary.

    10. Complete other projects/tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor.

    11. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

    Job Requirements:

    1. Must be a U.S. Citizen/Green Card holder. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.

    2. At least 10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a metal cutting job shop with R&D projects.

    3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    4. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and collaboration skills.

    5. Must have excellent organizational skills.

    6. Proficient with MS Office suite, good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and strong computer skills.

    7. Blueprint reading experience, including GD&T.

    8. Experience with Solidworks and MasterCam required.

    9. Familiarity with Lean Initiatives such as, Kaizen, Value Analysis, Kanban, Error Proofing, Problem Solving, and Standardized Work, and Six Sigma activities are preferred.

    10. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
