Summary – CNC Programmer: As a CNC Programmer you would be responsible for setting up and programming CNC mills and lathes.
Day Shift: Monday – Friday
Types of CNC Machinery: Predominately Okuma, vertical and horizontal mills, lathes (including live tooling and sub spindle)
CNC Programming Controls: Mastercam
Responsibility Summary - CNC Programmer:
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design models to determine machining requirement.
- Program CNC machinery to meet part specifications.
- Refine code for efficiency, accuracy, and tooling utilization.
- Fine-tune machine settings and program parameters as needed to achieve desired results
- Choose the appropriate tools for the job based on material, part design, and machine capabilities
- Adapt existing programs to suit different machines or specific project needs
- Maintain records of machining processes, program changes, and maintenance activities.
Qualification Summary - CNC Programmer:
- 5+ years of experience writing and editing CNC programs for both mills and lathes
- Mastercam experience
- High school diploma required; any secondary education in a relevant field is preferred
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Experience performing quality assurance checks using measurement tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
