About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and refine CNC programs and optimize machining processes. This role is vital to ensuring precision, repeatability, and efficiency in production while driving process improvements and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to create and enhance machining solutions for new and existing products.
- Support production by providing technical advice to shop supervision and management.
- Identify and document methods, tooling, speeds, and other critical parameters for efficient manufacturing.
- Develop CNC programs using data from technical drawings, fixture models, and associated documents.
- Recommend and implement new or updated fixtures, equipment, and software to improve processes.
- Work with operators, engineers, and supervisors to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
- Stay current with advancements in CNC programming, CAM software, and machining technology.
- Provide process support and training to team members as needed.
- Lead or participate in special projects aimed at process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience ensuring precision and repeatability in manufacturing processes.
- Competency in interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T, and proficiency in shop math, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Expertise in machining materials like cast iron, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, and high-temperature alloys.
- Proficiency in Esprit or Mastercam CAM software; experience with Applicon-based programming, Renishaw probe software, and Macro programming is a plus.
- Ability to program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis equipment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
