    Job Overview

    We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring each production run meets high-quality standards. Your expertise in reading technical drawings, programming machines, and optimizing machining processes will be crucial to our success.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Blueprint Analysis & Program Writing:
    * Review blueprints, layouts, and technical charts to determine materials, sequences, and tooling instructions.
    
    * Write, edit, and adjust CNC programs based on engineering drawings and specific job requirements.
    
    • Machine & Tool Setup:
    * Select and install appropriate cutting tools and secure them in machine tool holders using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
    
    * Adjust cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths to optimize machining efficiency and precision.
    
    • Production Cycle Management:
    * Run CNC machines through complete production cycles, monitoring operations and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
    
    * Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments to verify conformance with specifications.
    
    • Process Improvement:
    * Identify and implement improvements to machining processes and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and quality.
    
    * Manage and prioritize multiple setups and short-run jobs while meeting production schedules.
    
    • Safety & Workplace Maintenance:
    * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all company safety protocols.
    

    Qualifications

    • Education & Experience:
    * High school diploma or equivalent.
    
    * 5 to 8 years of experience in a precision machine shop or manufacturing environment.
    
    • Technical Skills:
    * Proficient in operating CNC machines with controls such as Okuma, HAAS, and Fanuc.
    
    * Strong understanding of CNC programming, tooling selection, and machining principles.
    
    * Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and tolerances.
    
    • Problem-Solving & Communication:
    * Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make timely adjustments to optimize performance.
    
    * Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    
    • Work Environment Adaptability:
    * Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-production setting while managing multiple tasks.
    

    Salary info:

    $30 - $38 / hr
