    Position: CNC Setup/Programmer

    Shift: 1st Shift = 6am - 2pm; 2nd Shift = 2pm - 10pm; Monday through Friday

    Location: East Cleveland, OH

    Compensation: $27/hr - $36/hr

    About our Client:

    Our Client is an ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949:2016 certified manufacturer located on the east side of Cleveland. This is a growing company that has grown from 20 employees to over 50 employees in the last 15 years. They have invested in adding over $2.5M in new equipment in recent years to ensure they have cutting edge technology. This role is open due to growth - as the company continue to grow and bring in new work, they are looking to add a skilled and experienced CNC Setup/Programmer to the team!

    CNC Setup/Programmer role:

    The CNC Setup - Master will have a variety of daily responsibilities including setting up jobs on the CNC machines, repairing problems that the operators cannot fix, operating the CNC machines, gaging parts and keeping the area clean. When operating a machine, the CNC Setup Master will be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner.

    CNC Setup/Programmer responsibilities:

    • Basic and complete writing of NEW programs
    • Setup jobs on CNC machines
    • Repair machines and assist operators with repairs
    • Completing all paperwork as necessary
    • Operate and maintain equipment
    • Check parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specifications
    • Clean work area, including mopping
    • Perform various maintenance activities
    • Work with office and supporting departments

    About You:

    • 5+ years of setup experience and 2+ years of programming experience with CNC machines
    • Experience with long hand programming a part from only a blueprint
    • Experience/understanding of speeds and feeds with different tools
    • Experience reading a non digital micrometer and blueprints
    • Mathematical aptitude: can add, subtract, multiply, divide, some geometry and trigonometry
    • Detail oriented to ensure parts meet print specifications
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit, stand, and move around routinely
    • Cooperative, team player and good communication skills
