    SUMMARY:

    The Mid-Level Java Systems Analyst’s role is to provide technical and operational support to projects and programs. This role involves working under direct supervision to provide support to troubleshoot, solve, and escalate system issues. This role is a member of the Managed Services team and reports directly to the Systems Analyst Manager.

    CNSI supports a high-volume healthcare data system accessed through multiple web portals. This high-volume system operates out of numerous data centers and must reliably be available to its clients 7x24x365.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Functions as an individual contributor and works under direct supervision to assist with analyzing software requirements
    • Assists in interpreting software requirements and design specifications to code
    • Contributes to problem-solving and/or designs and implements new software applications or programs; coordinates and plans all tasks required for implementation, operations, and maintenance
    • Participates in the testing of computer programs, revising and refining all necessary documentation as testing is completed
    • Performs out-of-the-box thinking, collaborates with others, and makes a difference daily
    • Monitors system errors, diagnoses, and corrects errors
    • Triages production tickets and troubleshoots issues as needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience
    • Experience performing all computer programming functions, using standard design and programming techniques, in Enterprise Java-based solutions
    • Good understanding of relational database concepts and experience in SQL, PL/SQL
    • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), system support, and maintenance processes
    • Understanding of SharePoint applications, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to use reasoning to troubleshoot, solve, and escalate technical problems

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    • Exposure in analysis, design, and development of Java applications, including experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Java, J2EE, XML, and related technologies
    • Experience and knowledge of version control (preferably SVN)
    • Defect management tools (preferably Jira)
