COLSA is seeking a Linux Systems Analyst in support of the US Army Corps of Engineers at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Experience with Cent OS, Red Hat Linux, Cluster experience, Job-queuing software*
- Responsible for reviewing user requirements and for providing direction in identifying problems and possible solutions *
- Responsible for providing analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of complex systems *
- Responsible for defining system objectives and for preparing system design specifications that fit user's needs *
- Formulates logical statements of user requirements and develops solutions *
- Responsible for defining system objectives and for preparing system design specifications to meet user requirements*
- Responsible for working with system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc. *
- May define input and output file specifications including file organization *
- May be responsible for defining controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans
- May be responsible for creating test plans and procedures
- Prepare routine logic flow charts on basic systems
- May assist in analyzing requirements to ensure testability
- Routinely do customer- level hardware support and work with vendors

Required Skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or the equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 to 8 years work related experience
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
- HPC (High Performance Computing) Experience
- RHSA, RHCE or Linux+ certifications
- Security+ certification
- Minimum of an IAT level II required
- DoD SECRET security clearance
- Experience with DoD systems and DISA STIGs, CTOs, IAVMs and the ability to secure and maintain cyber posture.
- Willing to be on-call and or work different shifts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Capable of working independently and possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to administer and maintain HPCMP systems
- Batch queuing software experience: SLURM, PBS
