Overview:
The Commercial Appraisal Quality Reviewer is responsible for reviewing commercial appraisals to ensure they meet internal quality assurance standards and client specific requirements. Commercial Appraisal Quality Reviewers work with appraisal professionals across the country to construct strongly supported property appraisals within a client's turnaround time. The position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: commercial appraisal analysis, vendor customer service, and client customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure federal, state, regulatory, and client requirements are met
- Review commercial appraisals to ensure each report meets internal quality standards as well as client specific requests and special instructions
- Meticulously review each report following Ascribe guidelines
- Research and verify subject property characteristics through various online sources
- Work with management to prioritize and deliver reports on time
- Meet quantifiable processing standards and delivery minimums
- Maintain a uniform log documenting report history
- Ability to field incoming vendor calls and assist in a professional manner
- Promptly inform management of any problems or issues that could cause a report to be delayed
- Participate in other interdepartmental cross training
- Expected to participate in overtime as directed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion

Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or greater
- Active Certified General Appraiser's License. (May be willing to accept/train Certified Residential appraisers with proof of significant experience or education in valuing commercial properties.)
- Experience in commercial real estate brokerage, commercial lending, commercial underwriting and/or appraisal or 3+ years experience in commercial or residential QA with a proven track record of success
- Ability to review and/or value multiple commercial property types (e.g. retail, office, industrial, multi-family, land)
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt commercial valuation concepts such as how to derive an income approach to value, commercial comp selection, adjustments to sales comparable, and an understanding of basic commercial market analytics (e.g. vacancy rate, cap rate, lease type, rental trends, etc. )
