ABOUT THE TEAM AND ROLE 

We are seeking an HR Generalist to join the Compass team. In this role, you will work with and report to the Director of HR to support the daily operations of the HR department. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. The HR Generalist will be able to work autonomously and efficiently and be familiar with using HR software and tools. The position is newly created to work alongside the HR Director and assist with our growing workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Manage the recruiting and hiring process including creating job descriptions, postings, resume reviews, interview scheduling, processing background and reference checks, post-interview follow up messages to applicants, and i-9 verification
• Assist with improving the orientation, onboarding, and training process
• Ability managing payroll administration
• Aid in building effective, collaborative working relationships through the organization with staff, colleagues, managers, and executives
• Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, etc.) in the PEO
• Liaison with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.)
• Support the Director of HR with other tasks and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• Multi-state compliance experience preferred
• Experience using Rippling PEO software preferred
• Ability to build trust and convey empathy
• Experience in conducting successful recruitment procedures
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities 
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Go-getter personality that blends well with a fast-paced, rapidly-growing, global workforce
• Quick learner, attention to detail, and great personality
