The Opportunity.

We are looking for a CSS for our rapidly expanding NW Florida operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities.

• Exercises independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project.
• The CEI Contract Support Specialist will receive general instructions regarding assignments from the Project Administrator but will also be responsible for assignments from the Senior Project Engineer.
• CEI Contract Support Specialist should be familiar with the Florida Department of Transportation Procedures covering the project related duties as stated above and be proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform these duties.
• Shall become proficient in Trimble Business Center - Heavy Construction Edition (HCE) or approved surface to surface comparison software and Engineering Menu.
• Working directly with the Project Administrator, the CEI Contract Support Specialist will be responsible for the monthly progress payments to the Contractor and for documentation of the final estimate throughout the construction project duration.

Required Credentials.

• High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of road & bridge construction engineering inspection (CEI) experience having performed/assisted in specific project related duties (i.e., Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) System, progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing Construction Contract changes, etc.) or a Civil Engineering Degree
• CTQP Final Estimates Level II
