    Job Description

    OBJECTIVE:   This position manages COSI’s interactions with the public through social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. The role requires analyzing data, identifying trends, and planning digital campaigns to drive guest engagement with COSI’s onsite, online, and offsite experiences. 

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital technology, or related field required. 3-5 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, or related field required. Great verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position. Experience in social media monitoring and content management is required. The ideal candidate is digitally literate, creative, energetic, analytical thinker, and results oriented. Experience in marketing/design with a strong knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, InDesign, etc. is strongly preferred. 

     ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Steward COSI’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more with the goal of increasing brand awareness, cultivate a social media following, and generate revenue. 
      • Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain COSI’s brand through social media marketing campaigns. 
      • Interact with consumers and other stakeholders via COSI’s social media accounts; regularly posting text, video, and images that engage COSI’s target audiences.
      • Monitor and respond in a timely manner to online posts that mention COSI in an effort to mitigate the impact of negative reviews, share positive testimonials, and strengthen relationships and the COSI brand. 
        • Share guest feedback with relevant COSI work groups to ensure responsiveness to concerns and good guest services.

       

    • Working with COSI’s Marketing and Design work groups, craft engaging content that consistently aligns with COSI’s brand, consumer trends, and market changes to interest and engage a variety of targeted audiences. 
      • Develop multi-media content that is attention-grabbing, informative, and entertaining.
      • Collect and curate COSI stories for sharing on social channels, while ensuring consistency and authenticity.
    • Oversee paid social media efforts including building recommendations for advertising spends as well as building a schedule that aligns to strategy and execution of those opportunities that support COSI’s priorities and generate revenue through ticket and membership sales.
    • Monitor, measure, and share insights regarding the impact of social media efforts. 
      • Analyze campaigns to identify weaknesses and research social media trends to inform recommendations and pinpoint opportunities for improvement using key performance indicators for social media, such as targets for shares, likes, mentions, etc.

     OTHER DUTIES 

    • Support general COSI operations through participation in meetings as appropriate.
    • Serve as an example to other COSI Team Members and Volunteers in matters of appearance, attitude, and performance in a manner best serving COSI paid and Volunteer Team Members and Guests. 
    • In accordance with COSI's Guest Services Strategy, and as opportunities present themselves, provide excellence in Guest Services by assuring Guest safety, using courtesy to drive each Guest interaction, by delivering the COSI show, and by keeping operations efficient.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
