Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate financial records for all WisHope Recovery programs.
Oversee accounts payable – process, verify, and ensure timely payments of invoices.
Reconcile financial transactions regularly to guarantee accuracy and integrity.
Monitor cash flow and generate detailed financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
Ensure strict compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Prepare and submit financial documentation for grant applications and funding reports.
Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team.
Support annual audits and coordinate with external CPAs and auditors.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial data.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
