    Job Summary:

    Assistant Controller - Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the accounting and control function of the company, reports operational results and provides necessary financial and control systems under the Controller and CFO. We will be implementing a new ERP system and our accounting leadership team will be taking on this project. We need someone who can clean up the data before it's imported in the system. You will be working closely with the CFO on inventory control along with being a day to day backup for the controller.

    Major Job Responsibilities:

    Establishes policies, procedures, systems and controls for the effective recording, analyzing and reporting of all financial matters.

    Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.

    Manage cash and the line of credit on a day-to-day basis.

    Prepare, analyze and distribute monthly and annual financial results.

    Compile annual budget and report results against it.

    Prepare various analyses to support operating management.

    Provide timely and accurate information to assist in decision making.

    Maintain systems to safeguard company assets.

    Assist with supervising the accounting staff, including review of existing job responsibilities and reporting relationships, assignment of duties, feedback regarding job performance, and development of employees' skill levels.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    Prepare balance sheet, cash flow, and income forecasts as needed.

    Maintain chart of accounts.

    Prepare daily cash analysis.

    Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures.

    Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization’s accounting operations.

    Collects data to prepare federal, state and local reports and tax filings.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in accounting or finance field

    CPA certification required

    5 years of experience minimum requirement

    Ability to mentor, delegate work, and discipline in a supervisor capacity

    Highly detailed and organized

    Ability to prioritize and multitask

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
