Position Overview:
This firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Supervisor to join their team. This role will involve overseeing tax compliance and advisory services for their high net worth clients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical tax knowledge, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals in the preparation and review of individual, trust, and estate tax returns for high net worth clients.
-Provide comprehensive tax planning and advisory services, addressing complex tax issues related to wealth management, estate planning, and charitable giving.
-Stay current with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies for clients.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering proactive communication and support throughout the tax process.
-Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated financial services.
-Assist in the training and development of junior staff members, providing guidance on technical tax issues and career growth.
-Prepare and present reports and recommendations to clients, highlighting tax-saving opportunities and strategies.
-Participate in business development efforts by identifying potential clients and contributing to marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax services for high net worth individuals.
Candidate with extensive Public Accounting Experience with Mid Level Firms.
Experience with HWNI, Estates, Trusts, S Corps & Partnerships.
In-depth knowledge of individual and estate tax regulations, compliance, and planning strategies.
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with [specific software, if applicable] is a plus.
