We’re seeking a dynamic and proven CPG Marketing & Merchandising Manager to amplify our in-store presence and fuel sales growth at leading grocery retailers such as Kroger, Albertsons, and others.

    Key Responsibilities

    In-Store Marketing & Merchandising Strategy

    Develop and execute in-store marketing and merchandising strategies to optimize product placement, visibility, and sales.

    Lead promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with grocers’ promotional calendars and strategic priorities.

    Leverage shopper insights and category trends to create impactful marketing initiatives tailored to each retailer.

    Hire, train and manage network of instore samplers

    1. Retail Partner Collaboration

    Build and maintain strong relationships with category managers and merchandising teams at Kroger, Albertsons, and other key retail accounts.

    Negotiate in-store promotional opportunities, including endcaps, displays, and shelf placement improvements.

    Partner with retailers on co-marketing initiatives, aligning on mutual goals for sales growth and shopper engagement

    1. Field Execution & Team Leadership

    Oversee merchandising teams or third-party brokers to ensure consistent execution of in-store standards.

    Conduct store visits and audits to assess compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure maximum shelf presence.

    Provide training and guidance to field teams to maintain excellence in merchandising execution.

    1. Analytics & Performance Tracking

    Monitor sales data, market trends, and merchandising performance to assess ROI and adjust strategies accordingly.

    Analyze the impact of promotions and display activity, reporting insights to internal stakeholders and retailer partners.

    Collaborate with the sales team to set and achieve ambitious in-store sales goals.

    1. Cross-Functional Coordination

    Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products and promotional materials.

    Act as a liaison between internal teams and retailers, facilitating smooth communication and execution.

    Qualifications

    Experience: 5+ years in CPG marketing, merchandising, or retail sales, with a strong focus on grocery accounts like Kroger and Albertsons.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

    Skills:

    Proven ability to drive in-store sales through marketing and merchandising initiatives.

    Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with retail partners.

    Excellent analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.

    Knowledge of retail operations, planograms, and category management best practices.

    Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

    Tools: Familiarity with retail analytics platforms (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and CRM tools.
