Description: Seeking a Security Office Manager/Secretary II to support our Federal Government client onsite. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one to two years of office management experience, one to two of experience with US Navy programs and operations (preferred), and strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Experience in admin assistance and/or human resources is preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the supervisor and staff.
- Perform various clerical and secretarial duties in support of the organization, programs, and procedures.
- Handle differing situations, problems, and deviations in the work of the office according to the supervisor's general instructions, priorities, duties, policies, and program goals.
- Possess knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office.
- Employee will be dealing with many security violations and understand that this information is not to be discussed outside of the building and if doing so could potentially cause further security violations.
- Employee will overhear and be subjected to personnel PII & must act with discretion and sensitivity on a situational basis.
- Employee may conduct security building walk through (which may include walking for 6+ hours).
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of related experience.
- Completed an Associate’s degree or higher.
- Possess solid Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience supporting managers in a busy office.
- Experience with management of calendars and time keeping.
- Knowledge of Naval acronyms.
- Knowledge of DTS (Defense Travel System, Navy ERP, JIRA, Excel, Word, Suite, and Teams).
- Understand security procedures as well as understanding the discretion of the position.
- Prior knowledge and understanding the use of a COC (chain of command).
- Proficient at understanding of SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and Naval instructions.
- Must be proficient in reading and writing, understanding sentence structure as well as Naval SOP content in accordance with the navy correspondence manual.
