    Grayson College Center for Workplace Learning seeks a highly qualified applicant to perform the duties of an Industrial concept’s Instructor within the continuing education division.

    INDUSTRIAL CONCEPTS FACULTY responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, the following: Serve as Part-time Instructor for programs within the Industrial Manufacturing Sector. Provide instruction and training related to industrial maintenance, including maintenance safety procedures, blueprint reading. occupational math, principles of basic electricity, maintenance reporting, fundamentals of hydraulics and pneumatics, rigging and conveying, electrical motors: operation and maintenance, software applications for industrial programmable logic controllers (PLC), preventative maintenance and industrial troubleshooting.

    Must be available to teach evening classes.

    The salary for this position is $40.00/hour.

    Responsibilities:

    50% Instruct in a college or business and industry setting in lecture, discussion and lab format, using a variety of training aids and instructional devices and distance learning technologies.

    30% Conduct effective hands-on lab sessions using high technology training equipment, software and hardware.

    10% Provides feedback to students

    10% Conducts evaluations and assessments of student performance.

    Qualifications:

    Expected: AAS degree in Industrial Technology, or a related industrial discipline with three (3) years direct experience in the industrial manufacturing field. Knowledge and experience as a maintenance technician, electronic technician (industrial), maintenance foreman, industrial engineer, or engineering lead worker required.

    Preferred: Experience working with a diversity of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical/electronic, and PLC equipment in a manufacturing setting preferred. Some level of teaching or training experience is preferred. The applicant must be able to work in a team environment utilizing effective communication skills. The applicant must also be able to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and be able to develop programs and curricula to industry needs.Three years direct experience in the industrial maintenance field including knowledge and experience as a maintenance technician, electronic technician (industrial), maintenance foreman, industrial engineer, or engineering lead worker is required.
