Job Summary
We are a small business based out of Baltimore,MD (we cover the following areas Baltimore, city , Baltimore Co., Anne Arundel Co with opportunities to travel out of state ) seeking Installation Technicians to join our team! As a Installation Technician, you will be installing Comcast cable services which include telephone , internet, cable boxes and wire , as well as security services. You will be repairing and or upgrading existing services and or equipment, which can include cable wires in or outside the home . You will also be troubleshooting systems that are having trouble, running diagnostic tests, ordering replacement components, and ensuring every system you touch is working properly. The ideal candidate has cable experience , excellent communication skills, and enjoys problem-solving complex issues but this is not a requirement as we provide on the job training. We provide work vehicles, uniform shirt and a set of cable tools. You will be required to purchase steel toe boots, and khaki colored cargo pants. You must be able to carry and use a 12 foot ladder, you will be provided with safety equipment such as harness and hard hats. You must be prepared to work a 12-hour shift during your working schedule. You must also prepare to work a fluctuating schedule. You must be prepared to drive during your working shift to complete jobs. You must be able to work well with a team. The pay can be discussed in more detail during the phone interview, but we are paid by the job , so you will be provided with your pay scale so you are able to calculate your pay check and we pay on a weekly schedule. LOOKING FOR TECHS THAT ARE WILLING TO TRAVEL( AREAS:MD/VA/PA/MA/ATL.ANY FUTURE ACQURED AREAS). TRAVEL TECHS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR INCENTIVES (EX. DAILY OR WEEKLY STIPEND/INCREASED PAY RATE/INCREASED WORK FLOW/PAID HOTEL STAY, ANY OF THESE INCENTIVES COULD BE OFFERED)
Responsibilities
Install new equipment for customers (cable, phone, internet, security systems and monitors, cable wires)
Troubleshoot existing equipment that isn’t working, run diagnostic tests, and fix any problems that arise
Upgrade outdated equipment
Walk the customer through any new or updated equipment to ensure everyone knows how to use it properly
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by always wearing proper PPE and following safety procedures
following placed procedures and meeting internal goals
Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills
Previous experience with cable equipment desired
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Must be comfortable working on your feet, in tight spaces, and a variety of weather conditions
Must be able to pass background and urinalysis
must have a valid drivers license
must have iPhone (needed to complete jobs and the cable systems only work on IOS)
