Help at Home LLC (formerly Altrus) provides community living support services to individuals with developmental disabilities.  We are currently seeking Developmental Disabilities Aides/Community Living Coaches for our home in Barnesville, GA for VARIOUS shifts. The Developmental Disabilities Support Aide provides direction and support in the activities of daily living for residents in company-operated group homes. The group home setting serves individuals in a safe and nurturing environment where they may receive personal support, transportation, assistance with meal preparation and shopping. The Aide works to provide the services needed by each individual living in the home.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old;
• 1 or more years of experience working successfully with elderly and/or developmentally disabled individuals;
• Ability to perform all personal support duties as needed to support the person's care plan;
• Current driver's license;
• Current CPR/First Aid certification;
• CPI Certification;
• Current TB screening;
• Fingerprints and acceptable criminal background report; and,
• Basic computer skills.

This position is located in Barnesville, Georgia.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 year college degree preferred
• Must have valid NC Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
• Must have NC Pesticide applicators license, or the ability to obtain one
• Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
• Must comply with Bland Landscaping’s policies and procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
• Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks
• Wear work boots, Bland Landscaping uniforms, and present yourself in a clean and professional manner
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must wear provided company PPE
• Must practice safety at all times
• Must pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean criminal record
