    Our rapidly-growing construction company is in need of a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring client’s dreams to life! You’ll serve as our primary architectural drafter and produce original, computer-generated designs in 2D and 3D. Additional responsibilities include meeting with the design/construction team, integrating feedback, and revising designs as requested. Communication skills are a must in this role, as you’ll be regularly communicating the design progress to the construction team. Applicants should be experienced design engineers who enjoy highly detailed work, are passionate about working on a project from start to finish, and want to grow their career in the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Meet with clients during the beginning of the project to get project specifications and scope • Collaborate with construction team members to establish budgets and timelines for the designs • Get feedback from the client and construction managers and revise designs as needed • Choose the best material for modeling by researching material properties in large databases • Utilize computer software to generate 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the project specifications • Notify superintendents and project managers of the design’s progress and when the designs are complete Qualifications: • At least 2 years of experience in architectural design • Possess a firm grasp on the industry as a whole and stay up-to-date on evolving trends in architectural technologies • Proficient in using architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion • 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired • Have great attention to detail, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Compensation: $18,000 - $30,000 yearly
