Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for the efficient running of all production with good velocity of projects through the shop to meet monthly goals and quality standards

· Ensures product quality meets Caliber standards and proper records are kept with traceability.

· Ensure jobs are completed on time as scheduled and works closely with production scheduler to set daily production tasks, priorities and due dates onto the production board

· Responsible for all safety matters in the shop – personal protection, machine operation, storage of equipment & chemicals, keeping a clean and tidy shop

· Able to operate all production machines expertly, being familiar with every aspect of machine capability. Experience operating CNC, Laser, Engraver, all kinds of power tools is a bonus.

· Familiar with production file software applications and computer tools such as work orders, production management systems and inventory, either PC or App based or both

· Capability and experience to serve as installer when needed, familiar with every style of interior sign installation and exterior signs. Ability to produce quality work, be presentable and speak well to clients as you represent Caliber, clean up after completion

· Coordinates the quality check process of finished products for comprehensive QA (Quality Assurance) working with project managers to keep good documentation records and readiness for installations

· Provides updates to operations manager several times daily, also reporting on ways to improve processes and identifying production bottlenecks.

· Works with project managers to set a date for job completion so PM can assign installation resources and confirm dates with clients

· Works with production team to coordinate daily job activities & priorities, monthly machine maintenance, weekly inventory updates and daily floor cleaning

· Works with installation team to ensure they receive products produced in a manner and style acceptable to the installer (patterns, vinyl with or without bleed, masking, adhesive tape etc).

· Frequent, clear and precise communication with all staff

· Master of vinyl and its applications is a must. Expert paint spraying a big plus.

· Producer of high quality work is essential

· Understands production times for any type of sign product and can multi-task multiple projects and work flow process steps

· Good problem solver and a critical thinker

· Able to take responsibility and performance feedback in a positive and constructive manner.
