    Levenson Eye Associates is a multisite ophthalmology practice with locations throughout the Jacksonville metropolitan area. Our experienced and skilled caregiver team specializes in the management of all eye related diseases. We use the most advanced technology available to provide the highest quality care to our patients and improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a Call Center Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for answering all inbound patient calls in a highly fast paced environment. You will be expected to verify insurance, conduct outbound calls to coordinate appointments while utilizing excellent customer service and active listening skills to provide best in class patient service.

    This position is located on site at 751 Oak Street, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32204.

    Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Salary: $17 - $19/hr

    Job Description/Essential Functions:

    Answering and transferring calls.

    Handle Medicare and Commercial Insurance related calls.

    Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments.

    Adding new patient demographics and verifying established patient information.

    Following HIPPA guidelines and ensuring compliance

    Outbound calling to confirm appointments and verify insurance.

    Education:

    High School graduate, college degree preferred

    Experience/Skills: Previous healthcare experience (preferably high-volume call center environment) Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Take the initiative to learn and advance in a fast-paced medical office

    Must be dependable, self-motivating, multi-tasking, excellent active listening skills.

    Experience working in a medical call center; highly preferred.

    Empathetic to patient's needs.

    Computer literacy of 45wpm. Bilingual in Spanish a plus
