Job Description
The Campaigns Department at Oxfam challenges US policymakers in government and the private sector to better address inequality and we are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Intern. Campaign interns gain experience in public campaigning, organizing, research, and advocacy on a wide range of issues from supporting workers and fighting to rein in corporate power, to addressing climate change by ending the era of fossil fuels, to demanding a last ceasefire in Gaza and more!
The Campaigns Department Intern will provide organizing, research, and administrative support for several key projects, including the recruitment, training and cultivation of activists in the Oxfam Action Network for an Equal Future, campaign stunts and tactics, and supporting the management of Oxfam’s Sisters on the Planet Ambassadors program.
We are excited about candidates with some experience in organizing, advocacy or supporting policy efforts, but our interns will have the opportunity to gain or build upon practical organizing skills and get an inside understanding of campaigning, lobbying, grassroots organizing and outreach within a global organization. The internship offers a friendly and open work environment of supportive staff with whom to share knowledge, career advice, and workplace mentoring.
