Job Summary Powder Horn Family Camping Resort is a family campground located in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. We are seeking positive, friendly, and energetic team members to join our team this summer! Our resort has varied opportunities across all lines of our operations to ensure a great camping experience for all our guests. From working outside with our Facilities Team and on our pool decks, providing fun and entertainment with the Activities and Game Window Teams, to working inside with the Front Office and Camp Store and Cafe. There are many different roles that make Powder Horn run!

Many of our roles include working both inside and outside in all types of weather; walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting will be required with all roles.

Job Duties & Descriptions

Office Reservationist and French Speaking Office Reservationists: The Front Office team is at the heart and center of Powder Horn Family Camping Resort. With heavy guest interaction and technology usage, you’ll be working with all guests and enforcing campground policies. You'll be responsible for making reservations, communicating via email and phone, checking guests into the resort, and answering all guest questions. Cash handling is a bonus but not required. Knowledge of the surrounding area is a bonus. Strong communication skills, organizational and ability to work in an often fast-paced office environment. We have a dedicated French-Speaking clientele, Spoken or written French is preferred.

Reservationist Pay: $16.75 - $18.75/hr Reservationist Lead Pay (18+): $18.75 - $20.50/hr

French Speaking Reservationist Pay: $18.75 - $20.50/hr

Facilities: Our Facilities/Maintenance Team ensures that Powder Horn ground and facilities run smoothly! From groundskeeping to ensure a clean and neat outside environment across the campground to keeping the restrooms clean for all of our guests, the Facilities Team always works hard to make sure that Powder Horn continues to be the cleanest campground in the area! This role includes working both inside and outside in all types of weather, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, lifting, and working with cleaning supplies. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Facilities Team Member Pay: $14.75 - $18.75/hr

Facilities Team Lead Pay (18+): $18.75 - $20.50/hr

Overnight Security: During our season we have overnight security to ensure the safety of our guests and our employees. As a part of the Security Team you are responsible for de-escalating situations, providing communication and ensuring a safe environment for everyone on Powder Horn property. Working closely with the Front Office, the Security Team is the eyes and ears in the park. Valid driver’s license required. Our night security team is responsible for the Security Gate overnight and safety throughout the park as this position is when all other departments are closed. HOURS VARY DEPENDING ON THE TIME OF SEASON. Shifts may start as early as 4pm and end as late as 7:30am. 4- to 8-hours shifts available.

Overnight Security Pay: $21.50-$23.50/hr

Game Window: Powder Horn Family Camping Resort offers many amenities and recreations for our guests to enjoy, including horseshoes, volleyball, shuffleboard, an 18-hole mini golf course and much more! As a Game Window Team Member you’ll be in charge of lending out and ensuring the return of game equipment to guests and keeping a neat, organized, and clean space.

Game Window Team Member Pay: $14.75 - $15.75/hr

Gate: The Gate Team is responsible for ensuring all people who enter the campground are guests of Powder Horn Family Camping Resort and are properly identified and registered. The Gate Team Member controls who enters the property, as they are our front line workers. This position may require long periods of standing and walking in all types of weather as it is mainly an outside position. The Gate Team works closely with the Front Office. Observation, attention to detail, and safety are top priority for a Gate Team Member.

Gate Team Member Pay: $15.50 - $17.50/hr

Activities: Our robust activities program needs great team members to bring it to life! This season we are excited and proud to offer an activity or event EVERY DAY of the week! With the Activities Team you’ll be working with families participating in events of all sorts. From arts and crafts, to sports nights, movies under the stars and friendly competitive trivia games - the Activities Team facilitates all of these fun offerings! This role includes working both inside and outside in all types of weather, walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting.

Activities Team Member Pay: $14.75 - $16.75/hr

Pool: THIS IS NOT A LIFEGUARDING POSITION. The Pool Team Members are responsible for ensuring all pool complex rules are being followed by Powder Horn guests. This role requires standing, walking, bending over, and sitting throughout the shift and working outside. AED/CPR/First Aid training is a bonus. You will also help with opening and closeing the pool deck and organizing the pool deck for safety and neatness.

Pool Team Member Pay: $15.75 - $17.75/hr

Store: As a part of the team for the Camp Store and Cafe you’ll be working in a dual retail/food and beverage environment. The camp store sells multiple things for camping needs and our cafe makes breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, and pizza. This role will include cash handling, food and beverage preparation, as well as stocking and inventory of items within the store. Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and kneeling are required with this position.

Store Team Member Pay: $15.75 - $17.75/hr

Store Team Lead (21+) Pay: $17.75 - $20.50/hr
