Job Description
As the Marketing Specialist for Retail and Wholesale, you will support all brand and commercial marketing programs for the retail and wholesale channels in the United States.
In this role you provide expertise within three distinct channel strategies:
drive traffic to Canada Goose stores and build a positive brand experience in-store;
support new store openings across the US;
create and execute strong co-op programs with strategic Wholesale accounts that are focused on brand storytelling and product sell through.
In this role, building and maintaining strong relationships with wholesale sales teams, brand ambassadors in stores, Regional Managers and global partners is critical to success. You demonstrate a passion for driving marketing programs and achieving results with a keen eye for retail.
While the role focuses on the US business, this role works within a global matrix and collaborates closely with regional leaders to align local programming to the global strategy is a big part of the job.
THE ROLE:
- Support the development and execution of annual marketing programs for retail locations in priority markets and wholesale partners that align with key brand priorities to drive commercial and brand goals
- Leverage internal analytic reports to extract key insights and further develop regional marketing programs/activations
- Build close relationships with store teams and mall property partners to understand local nuances to make informed marketing recommendations
- Support and lead the execution of retail marketing programs designed to drive traffic to stores across the US and look for new ways to create repeat customer visits – i.e. eventing, clienteling, etc.
- Build relationships with strategic wholesale accounts and sales executives in the US to support the development of co-op marketing programs designed to drive product sell through and brand storytelling
- Manage internal relationships with the Visual Merchandising and Commercial Marketing teams to localize global campaign moments
- Develop and manage the retail and wholesale marketing calendar, ensuring cross-functional representation and clarity of global calendar launch plans by store and key wholesale partners
- Ability to liaison between various teams such as: stores, wholesale partners, sales, creative, planning, public relations, community, digital marketing, and media to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned and integrated
- Support weekly retail and wholesale reporting and analysis on business performance while identifying opportunities to create proactive local programming where needed
- Contribute to the fiscal year budget planning of retail and wholesale channels and ensure accurate financial tracking through partnership with local finance teams and Marketing Manager
- Support the marketing team with US store openings by contributing to strategic planning, researching new locations and executing openings with the team on the ground
- Manage relationships with agency partners by overseeing strategic outputs and financial requirements, when applicable
ABOUT YOU:
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or Communications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a marketing position with a focus on brand management and execution at the retail level
- Strong understanding and history of working with key retailer(s) within the US
- Bonus points for experience working with a luxury/performance brand
- Experience with new store openings
- Strong in-store marketing and product marketing experience, and visual presentation skills

- Retail experience with an understanding of how a retail environment operates first-hand
